Mashed spiced maple Banana baby food

crappy cell phone shot of the bananas as I placed them in the oven

Preheat oven to convect 350 or regular 350.

Line a baking dish in foil and lightly butter the foil.

Slice 2-3 bananas lengthwise so they're two long half-cylindrical pieces. If they break a little that is ok.
place on buttered foil.
Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon atop the bananas.
I also experimented and added a scant pinch of orange peel and fresh ginger puree.

Drizzle maple syrup over - about as much as if it were olive oil and you were drizzling a food like pizza or pasta.

Bake 10 min (convect) or 15 min (regular) but check as it goes- you want the teeniet scant hint of growning but no burning, and the bananas should be a tad softer than when they were raw.

Puree with some water and serve or freeze. Goes well with oatmeal or yogurt as well as plain.
