onion powder- 2 tbsp (ran out of onions, egads!)
1 bottle beer
about 1.5, or so, beer bottles of water mixed with correct amount of beef boulion paste. (Broth would suffice)
2 tbsp flour, whisked the flour into the liquid
generous pinch of rosemary, thyme, cracked pepper
pinch salt
2 bay leaves
2 lb roast (mine was frozen so I crock-potted it longer)
and after some cooking I added 2 yukon potatoes, chopped. (Would add more but I have a midget crock pot, the big one broke) and about a half a bag of baby carrots, cut in half.
It looks quite soupy still, likely gonna make some gravy with a pot roast dripping roux thing to thicken it. Yeah...I got lazy and used non-gluten-free flour. Oh well. And I will likely serve it over mashed potatoes since my measly 2 potatoes (they're small!) boiling away will not suffice.
