It bugs me that to be healthy, one has to find out on their own to, well, be healthy.
Case in point:
I just read "The China Study" which had a ton of research behind it, that animal proteins (milk, meat, eggs) are causing the uptick in most cancers, diabetes, heart problems, autoimmune disorders like diabetes and lupus.... and that the dr's and government are all bought out by the dairy and beef, etc lobbyists to keep quiet. As well as being bought out by Kraft and Nestle, and pharmaceutical companies (pills are a nie way to line pocketbooks and supposedly fix people).
The FNB Food and Nutrition Board reneged its RDA (how much of what to eat to be healthy) and it is quite baffling...of course they were bought out by said nestle, kraft, etc. Now an American is "healthy" and meeting their RDA's by consuming....
35% calories of fat
45-55% carbohydrates
35% protein
25% sugars
(some percents here went up by 25%!)
Which means the following menu would be healthy...
BREAKFAST
1 c froot loops with 1 c skim milk
1 package m&M candies
fiber and vitamin supplements
LUNCH
grilled cheeseburger
DINNER
3 slices peperoni pizza
1 16 oz soda
1 serving cookies
And we WONDER why obesity, heart attack, diabetes are increasing?
Then there's the claim that non-hormone milk makes no health different. even if the hormones increase IGH or something....some cancer causing hormone?
And that organic fruits and veggies are no healthier, but really they have been proven to have not just less chemicals but up to 30% more nutrients?
But it's ok...eat your M&M's and pizza, drink hormone laden milk, and on that off chance you eat a fruit or veggie, eat the pesticide stuff. The pesticide, agriculture, and food manufacturer corporations thank you. And so will the pharmaceutical companies when you're on a cocktail of 15 different pills to counteract all that "health food".
